Lynkeos image gallery

 

These images, except otherwise noted, were captured with a ToUcam Fun on my 200 mm (8 inches) newtonian telescope, with varying setups.


The Venus transit (June 8, 2004) at my Ø100mm f1000mm refractor primary focus, since the object was of comfortable size.

Mars on October 18 and 30, 2020 with a QHY III camera, with pixels small enough to necessitate only a barlow to sample above the Nyquist limit.

Other users of Lynkeos produce images far superior to what I have been able to achieve, such as this view of Mars, taken by Stéphane Dumont on the Montagne de Lure during the 2020 opposition

Janssen crater on the Moon on March 15, 2005 through eyepiece projection.

M20 the trifid nebula. Lynkeos was used to align and stack the monochrome FITS images from the CCD camera; RGB recombining and post processing were done with Gimp.
